Grateful for Trials

15 years ago I got very sick, and despite the fasting of a loving bishop God told me He would not heal me.... yet. Now, I can see that God has used illness to teach me priceless lessons and give me tremendous spiritual power. I would choose those trials to gain the things I've gained. And so I declare today, as I did when I first got sick: God loves me! He never forsakes me. And He designed my life, even the trials in my life, for me. He is wholly Good.
