Pride

 

Pride, or resistance between us and God, gets in the way of life with God! And it is abundant in our culture and in me. At its extremes, pride can wear the face of either arrogance or shame. In smaller ways, pride shows up anytime my own ideas get in the way of receiving God's ideas.
