A Broken Heart and a Contrite Spirit

What does it mean to you to offer God a “broken heart and a contrite spirit”? Right now, for me, it means offering Him my personality and my pride. In other words, the traits I have that come from my wounds and sins, as well as the yardsticks I use to tell myself I am “worthy” or of worth. I choose to replace these things with my true nature as a Daughter of the Most High God.
