God Reliance

I often hear about self reliance, but I find the term confusing. There’s one definition that says I choose to be self reliant as opposed to reliant on the people around me. I see value in striving for abundance so that I can lift others rather than be lifted. Another definition says that I choose to be self reliant as opposed to reliant on God. This time, I disagree! I want to rely on God in all things, the way my toddler relies on me. What does self reliance look like in your life? How do you rely on God?
